The strategic use of a tree, pt 2

Simple, direct, powerful: It is empty and yet it contains all things.

Sometimes a smaller range of possibilities can allow individual elements to reach a greater effect.

When you realize the emptiness, that will be something.

In Rikuzentakata, Japan a grove of pines was planted 200 years ago. Following the tsunami, this was the only tree left standing. It has since become known as The Tree of Hope.

There was no accompanying information on this becrutched oak but it looks to be somewhere around a thousand years old. It continues on with an addition of tender care.
